Picture a real home.

Not an institution. Not a waiting list. A house on a real street, where four adults with IDD live together with a full-time caregiver who knows them by name. Where someone rides his bike, mows the lawn, watches the game, and comes home to people who care about him.
A life with friends, routine, and purpose. A door that’s theirs.
A day with somewhere to be and people who are glad you came. Work that matters, a table shared with friends, the small rhythms that make a life feel like your own. This is what a home makes possible — not just a place to live, but a reason to look forward to tomorrow.
Security that outlasts us.
For every parent, one fear sits underneath all the others: what happens when we're no longer here. This is the answer — a home that stays, care that continues, and a future that doesn't rest on us being around to hold it together. The peace of knowing they'll be safe long after we're gone.

Our partner Jeremiah’s Promise — a program built by parents, for adults with IDD — operates each home, providing the daily care, structure, and community that makes it a true home.
What happens to adults with intellectual disabilities when their parents can no longer care for them?
Too often, they face waiting lists, institutional placement, or uncertainty. In Tennessee, roughly 75% of adults with IDD receive no formal support. Trevor's Hope exists to change that by funding stable, permanent homes where they can live with dignity and care.
What is Trevor's Hope?
Trevor's Hope is a nonprofit program of Legacy for the Generations, a registered 501(c)(3), raising funds to build homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Rutherford County, Tennessee.
How does Trevor's Hope use donations?
Every gift goes toward acquiring and sustaining homes for adults with IDD. Our partner Jeremiah's Promise — a program built by parents — operates each home, providing daily care in a safe, supportive community.
How can I get involved or volunteer?
Right now the biggest help is spreading the word and giving. As the first home gets closer, we'll need volunteers for events, workdays, and welcome teams — reach out through our contact page and we'll add you to the list.
